I saw Dr. Mcdermit years ago, at first I thought he was super caring but the moment things did not work for me, such as hypnotizing, he started to get frustrated with me. He told me I had BPD cluster B, I trusted his diagnosis. But as years went by I did more research and was appalled, I was none of these things, I wasn’t sure how I even got the diagnosis. I have never lacked empathy or thought I was better than anyone, the list goes on and on. Years later I found out I was actually autistic, which could mimic BPD. I have always easily been able to put myself in others shoes and feel love and empathy. I just struggle expressing myself because of anxiety. This diagnosis had really given me a complex. So please get a second opinion if this has been your experience as well.

Dr. Mc Dermitt has been my Dr. for roughly 16 yrs. He has helped me out of 2 manic episodes. Without his care and compassion I'd probably be dead. He is the best Psychiatrist I have ever known.
