Dr. Govender performed a laminectomy and instrumented stabilization on my spine 2 months ago. In my opinion he is an extremely gifted and proficient surgeon. Surgery has been very successful - already almost pain free and walking farther longer than ever before in my life. words can not describe how grateful I am for his expertise and dedication. No wonder he has the longest waitlist for back surgery. He's worth waiting for.

I consider myself so blessed to have had Dr. Govender as my neurosurgeon. He was very clear on the surgery that I required and explained everything to me. In the operating room he took the time to talk to me and explain again what he was going to do. I had a Laminectomy with decompression on L3, L4 & L5. Post Op he let me know the surgery went well. The healing process has been amazing. I can't say enough good things about this doctor.

Dr. Govender is well regarded and does a great job and is effective at what he does. Getting in is a challenge and the receptionist is not pleasant in the least. Stay the course. I had severe stenois and had a L4 L5 repair and I had to wait 4 months for surgery. Suture line was clean and no complications. 8 weeks and walking a hour a day with no pain.

Dr Govender seen me for back problems about a month ago . I found him very respectful and caring , he provided a diagnosis and a referral to a physiatrist in a timely manner .

Excellent neurosurgeon (I had a Dynesys and 4 laminectomies). But does not return phone messages.

Dr. Govender is extremely knowledge and held in high regard by his colleagues. He provided excellent pre-op information and took time to give laymans' outline of my surgery. He was ALWAYS polite, considerate and respectful of me as a person. I was fully prepared. we are indeed fortunate to have such a bright and talented neurologist at KGH !

This surgeon saved my life with his skills in neurology, which gave me a new lease on life. As after breaking my neck in three places, I could have easily ended up paralyzed living in a wheelchair. Douglas John Elliott.

Dr.Govender was always help with our whole family through a tough situation. He saved my boyfriends life...how do you really thank a person for that. I will forever be greatful to him!
