all police ofircefs have a tremendous sense of humour and they would appreciate the jovial wit. Heh. We DO have a sense of humour, but not in that sense.A number of years ago, when in charge of a major enforcement program in the RCMP, I accompanied then-Commissioner Inkster to a meeting with a number of senior government officials . There was a coffee break, and the Deputy Minister of Justice at the time mentioned that there were doughnuts to accompany the coffee, in honour of our presence. Neither of us were amused; the Commissioner was too gracious to comment, but I wasn't encumbered by the small-p political restrictions imposed on him.It just goes to show that even supposedly smart people just cannot seem to get it right they don't seem to grasp what police ofircefs do or think, or actually mean to our society.And Steve you may be doing some good in terms of mitigating some of the stereotypes.
