My follow-up appointment With Dr Edward Chang (after having had an unknown surgeon place a gall bladder drain tube & sack in me) was unbelievably brief. Hard to believe. He never inspected me closely, staying oddly distant. He seemed oddly indifferent to my describing the true horrors I experienced at Peace Arch Hospital previously. All he said re: my gall bladder, was "Well, the tube (contents) should appear green, so the tube is not draining. This means you will have the tube for 3 more months, when I will remove your gall bladder." "Three more months?!" Said I, incredulous. "Yes." I am not going to tolerate queuing for that long - given the constant pain, and loss of sleep, I have I have endured for the past two-and-a-half weeks. He must get through an enormous number patients this way. His practice's annual income is listed a few years ago as CAN$192k. I am going private.

I was most fortunate to have Dr. Chang perform my surgery. He is a professional and intelligent doctor who showed the appropriate level of empathy throughout our visits and my surgery. Thank-you Dr. Chang

Dr Chang was our surgeon recently and we are delighted with the care and thoroughness he displayed. We are very grateful that Dr Chang performed the surgery and feel that no one could have done a better job. His after-surgery manner was caring and respectful. Thank you so much.

Dr. Chang doesn't rush you out of this office like ALOT of other doctors do. He takes the time to answer your questions
