I cant believe she is closing her practice and gave her patients 2 weeks notice and took no effort to get a replacement doctor or locum or anything. Now she is left her patients high and dry and what are they to do??? If she was a good doctor who cared about her patients and their health she wouldnt have left them without any other doctor options. I am very upset! She only thinks about herself!

I just found out that she is closing her practice, it must have been a quick decision because when I was in less that two weeks ago she didn't tell me this was happening. I only found out after I called to make another appointment because she hadn't renewed my medication. After two faxes from the pharmacy, she finally responded but did not put any renewals on them. Why do this knowing you are closing your practice?

I had just been to an appointment with Dr. Whyte (within the week) to review a couple of minor health problems and renew a prescription. She insisted on me trying a new prescription which as a nurse, I have reservations about. In the end, she didn't give me the prescription. When I phoned back to remind her that she didn't write the prescription, I was told I would need to make another appointment just to get the new prescription. I have to drive an hour to get to her office (she is aware of that) and she refused to fax the prescription to my local pharmacy. She has a habit of writing prescriptions for only 3 months, so that you have to make another appointment (for which she gets paid each time). In my opinion, this is an abuse of our health care insurance. She is quite thorough and diligent in other areas (annual physicals) etc.
