Dr Janet was in charge of looking after my 95 yr old Aunt when she was admitted into Burnaby Hospital during Covid-19. She was always diligent in calling me with daily reports on my Aunt’s progress, test results and recommendations. I trusted her opinion and got the sense she was doing everything possible to help resolve this senior’s inability to eat/drink on her own. In the end it was obvious that Hospice was the best place. Our conversations were honest & logical with a touch of humour to lighten the discussion. She listened to me and gave special permission to visit in a last attempt to feed her. I knew my Aunt was in good hands and it gave me the strength to make the decisions I needed to with confidence. Thank you Dr Janet for your extraordinary care and compassion at a time when it was most needed.
