May 12/21. Hello! There may have been a misinterpretation and a wrong diagnosis given because of a difference in cultural mannerisms. Patients: Please research, on your own, the side-effects of any medication whatsoever that you are prescribed, and let your doctor know if you have concerns. It is your body and, since neither Patients nor doctors really know if someone is truly mentally ill, you may be able to simply tell your Psychiatrist that you don't need psychiatric treatment, and then become discharged or declared "(not ill.)" True; anyone want to comment? Finally, as of yet, there are no hard-science-, concrete-evidence-based ways of proving that someone has a mental illness. True, anyone? -Renee K. Taylor, Kamloops, B.C.
