I've been seeing him for around 30 years. He's kept me healthy and alive. Wonderful bedside manor as well.

With Dr. Simkus, it's not unusual to sit in the waiting room long after your actual appointment time, which is quite strange, because he carts his patients in and out faster than a McDonalds Drive Thru serves customers! He is very quick to try and diagnose you, even before you've told him all of your symptoms. He also seems to have a fear of touching his patients, as I've been in multiple times for multiple reasons (including injuries resulting from a car crash) and he's never touched any part of my body to examine it, or it's flexibility (the injury was to my shoulder). The staff don't acknowledge you when you're standing in front of the counter, and for whatever reason have difficulties changing their files (I called and was in and told them more than once to change the number on my mother's file, as she had also told them, to no avail. In her case, they told her too late that she needed a blood transfusion - thankfully she had been seeing a specialist who had sent her straight to the hospital to get one, otherwise she might've died). Simkus is very knowledgeable, but his overwhelming concern for cramming as many people in during a single day keeps him from being a good doctor.
