I have more Dr. experiences of late than I want. I have met many wonderful and caring doctors... an exceptional group of people, really. From all of this i can say that Dr. Teixeira is exceptional... an outstanding man and doctor. He stays with it, takes the time (in a very busy schedule) to get to the bottom of it, listens well, is through, makes no foolish assumptions, and is very intelligent.

Doctor Teixeira is an awesome doctor. He knows his job and does it, thorough with the diagnosis and treatment. I recently had to go to emergency for chest pains. I received full attention and was able to go home next day.

Dr Marc Teixeira is an excellent dr in Nanaimo Generals ER. He is very efficient and at the same time a genuinely caring man and dr. I've been to the ER numerous times last summer as I had a staph infection in my knee. I had to be on IV antibiotics and every morning for 3 weeks an ER doctor would check on the medical daycare at 8 am. I always enjoyed it seeing Marc the days he was working his smile is genuine as his care. My surgeon seemed to think that I ran the course of anti biotics and wanted to stop them even though my knees swelling didn't seem to subside. I ask Marc what he thought of that he said it was obviously still infected and I asked him if I could get rid of the surgeon and ask for a dr that specialized in infectious diseases. He called the specialist and set up an appointment at 6 pm. The infection s specialist immediately had me admitted for 5 weeks contrary to what the surgeon had in mind . If it wasn't for Dr Marc Teixeira and his medical expertise I would have had that leg amputated. Dr Teixeira saved my leg by telling me its okay to ask for a different specialist and advocated my decision fully. Dr Texeira has seen me twice in the ER since once for a psychiatric crisis which he handled very well and just recently I have had a prostesis surgically implanted and ran out of pain meds and was in severe pain he remedied this quickly as I asked my chart to be seen by Marc and not another doctor as I knew he would be sensitive to the nature of my implant for impotence he made sure all was okay and provided sufficient pain medication. Next time I'm ever in the ER I will again ask Marc Teixeira to handle my chart. He is an outstanding doctor with wisdom, expertise, empathy, knowledge and genuine caring. Rated him 5 star except for 'the staff'
