I live in peace because of the attention of this Drs. concern and compassion as well as his propensity to annihilate the demons of a person's painful being. Allowing one to unveil the "nasties" of one's trauma is without doubt unmet in a world, unfortunately, which way too often only wants to culture the "niceties" of the self. Yet it is through the expression and ownership of the harmed inner being that leads to the expulsion of the horrors of a dysfunctional self that leads one from desperation to self-love, consequentially. I have definitely overcome what is commonly called “bipolarâ€. To be rid of those highs and lows is beyond a blessing. It is the challenge and effort put forth to finally be freed from self-hate that sets the mind free and the soul soaring. God has blessed my life with the introduction of this therapy with the most caring and loving professionals I have met.

This is my fifth year seeing Dr. Sousa-Poza and he is by far and large the best in the field. His unique approach with not only dealing with the psyche but the human soul has taken my healing beyond that of just medication and regular talk therapy. I would not even consider seeing another therapist - he is absolutely the best available. Few therapists link physical ailments with the holistic spectrum of emotional, mental and spiritual health like he does. He encourages me to dive deep into the most wounded parts of myself to engage in real healing - not some band aid effect. The world would be a healthier place with more therapists as kind and courageous as him. Thank you Joaquin for changing my life forever and helping me to realize my true self.

Having been traumatized, suicidal, emotionally mute, raised with fear, terrorized by my parents from childhood, I believe and trust in Dr. Sousa-Poza and his psychotherapy method. It's not just a bandaid and filling me with medication. It's about a journey to regain my true genuine self. I am getting better each day. Yes, he did save my life.

Wow sums it up. I have never met anyone else who is more interested in the care and well-being of another human being. It shows in this doctor's capacity to provide a full well-rounded service to the patients - and he is always pushing the limits to discover what really works.

Dr. Sousa-Poza is an outstanding Psycho-Therapist. He helped me recover from anoxeria. He has a great deal of compassion.
