I think honestly that he is the most helpful doctor. We were in dire need for a doctor as we were from out of town and we needed a doctor to prescribe medicine because we were heading back to Toronto. I recommend him highly.

I looked for ages to find this doctor. He is a hybrid between a country doctor, who has seen enough that he has no need to run to the Merck Manual, yet is up to date, knows about nutrition, and is oldstyle reassuring. When he worked at the old Denman Street Clinic, he was always on time; I'm so happy now that he has his own clinic. Walk-in available but he may or may not be accepting new patients.

He was our doctor for almost 12 years. He is very good, easy to talk with and is well educated above his field. He has relocated to Vancouver, and we miss him in the Interior.

Dr. Smit is knowledgeable and caring but is always pressed for time. Perhaps that is the nature of being a GP? I sometimes would like to have a discussion but he is out the door and moving on to the next patient.

seems to always want to do more than you came for, book more appointments to check out more - tests, exams, etc. and a bit aloof
