Very proactive! Ensured that i had a ultrasound of Aortic trunk and colonoscopy due to advancing age. Stays away from prescribing opioid meds due to present addiction problems. Biggest problem is the Hoy Medical clinic and their lackadaisical treatment of patients!

Dr. Plouffe prescribed medicine for high blood pressure, when I went back for a refill, he asked me if I really wanted it. I asked if I really need it. He replied that it would not help me live any longer than I was intended to....

Definitely a doctor with a conservative, thoughtful approach - not too quick to press medications. Good physician for the 'resistant to self-care males' out there.

I don'tknow who wrote the above review, but they must have been on some powerful hallucinogens. I saw Dr Plouffe for a few years, and found he only wanted to push prescriptions for medications.He wanted to put me on Lipitor when my bad cholesterol was 3.2. I called the Heart and Stroke Foundation and they advised me NOT to take that medication with such a low reading. I have since changed doctors.
